The second All Star game held at the New York Polo on July 10, 1934 . The game featured some of the best hitters, Carl Hubbell, Foxx, Simmons, Ruth, Gehrig and Cronin. known for his skillful use of “screwball” pitch, hurled in the 1934 All-Star game. With pinpoint precision he began to turn over his screwball. After the third strike Ruth was the first to fall off. Only one out of the 18 starters in the contest, the Braves' can't make it to baseball's Hall of Fame. The American League won the game, 9-7. The second All Star is considered to be the capstone of Hubbell's career. The first All Star Game showcased some of the game's best bats, and the second All Star game showcased the game's best arms proving that both offense and defense go hand in hand.
