In the year 1960 two games were played. The National League won the first game, held at Kansas City , 5-3. The National League also won the second game. In the first inning the National League took a lead by 3-0. Willie Mays lead Bill Monbouquette with a triple off. Then a single scored on a Bob Skinner. Ernie Banks with a home run stepped up and continued to maintain the National League's momentum. Mays added a single run and a double and Banks hit a double. In the 1960 All-Star Game, Vern Law became the 2nd Pirate who gave two scoreless innings. Stan Musial came against the National League, made his 6th record and last All Star game home run. Ernie Banks and Willie Mays were the stars of the National League, doubleheader format played in the All Star Game.
