The Kansas City Royals are Major League Baseball team, who are member of American League’s central division. Kansas city in Missouri state is the home to the Royals. The team was formed in 1969 as American League expansion. Hall of Famer George Brett with a career of 3,154 hits stands first in Royal’s history and is among top 20 in major League history. In 2005 Royals spent most of their time in renovating the team.  For 2006 season Veteran Mike Sweeney with a batting average of .300 led the team with a new spirit. Runelyys Hernandez recovered from his injury and rejoined the team by taking control of the starting staff. Brown at the age of 30 was not playing for last three years as a regular player ,he was a part timer but fortunately he became regular right fielder after scoring .286 batting average..Tony Pena had to resign from the post of manager after May 2005 as team showed a poor performance. Missouri was an attraction for last World Series as Kansas City Royals had to face their state rival St Louis cardinals.
