The San Diego Padres are a Major League Baseball team; presently belong to the Western Division of the National League. The team is placed in San Diego, California. San Diego Padres joined the MLB in 1969 as an expansion team along with four other teams (the other teams were the Montreal Expos, now the Washington Nationals, the Kansas City Royals and the Seattle Pilots, now the Milwaukee Brewers). Qualcomm Stadium or Jack Murphy Stadium is the home stadium of Padres’ where they are playing since their existence.
The Padres have won three division titles (1984, 1996, and 1998) and two Pennants (1984, 1998). The team hasn’t made a single appearance in World Series since 1969. The padres have entered in the new era with all new hopes to win. Giles, starter Jake Peavy and closer Trevor Hoffman will lead the squad for this new season.
